I earned a bachelor's degree in Humanities Applied Science and a minor in Spanish at Maranatha Baptist University in Wisconsin. I now enjoy tutoring a variety of subjects, including include anatomy, biology, nutrition, science, reading, grammar and mechanics, and others, but my specialties are Spanish, essay writing, and English. I can also help students prepare for standardized tests. When I tutor, I find a way to teach a student that utilizes their personal strengths and encourage them to build on those strengths. I also lead them through problems step-by-step, so they know how to solve problems on their own in the future. When I help students prepare for tests, I like to bring some fun into our preparation to make the process seem less daunting. I have tutoring experience, and during college, I tutored ESL university students; most were native Spanish-speakers. I also wrote articles for the college Humanities blog. In addition, I also spent time in Peru during a teaching immersion experience, and this furthered my communication skills. When not tutoring, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, working out, biking, and cooking.
